A typically quiet month in publishing, August has been busy for this intrepid writer. My wife, Lindsay, spent a week in Hawaii, meaning I had my first week of solo childcare with Rozie. I was nervous, but we had a very sweet and easy time together, with daily visits to the splash-pad in our local Domino Park. Then, Lindsay took the baby to Lake Tahoe for a week, and I stayed in NYC. Why, you may ask, given Lake Tahoe boasts screensaver-level beauty? Because I have a huge revision of my new book due at the end of the month, so I decided to stay put, and bust out as much childcare-free work as I could. Cue, the working staycation in NYC.
