Oh, man. I've been smiling for the past 10 minutes. This reads as if it was written especially for me, from that first "baby" to Jay taking his glasses off. Sweet and sad and funny at turns, this is the kind of romance for which the word "kilig" was coined. Can't wait to read more from Jonnah!

I read this on my laptop and almost spilled the glass of water I had on my desk because I kept banging on my table out of sheer delight, I tell you. The prose of this story is *chef's kiss* and the fact that my partner's name is also Jay (who also took the risk of long-distance for me!) makes this story even better. I also appreciate the notes on grief and how when you've just had way too much of it in your life, the default becomes, as Jonnah aptly puts it, "take it as it is and keep it moving." Anyway, it's Valentine's Day tomorrow and this story feels like a warm hug.

This story had me captivated from the first line, and I adore how the very last line paralleled the very first. What a satisfying ending. Loved every minute of this.

Love this story! So invested in Nat and Jay in such a short space of time I was hanging off every line. The moment she held her finger up to Jay’s lips I swear I had to pause and reread to recover. Love that it dealt with the grief of lost love - cut off my distance and death, yet found a way that the two of them could reconcile with the wound that will never truly heal, but move forward with it together.

Just a bloody great read!

This was SO fun!!! I was throughly engaged the whole way through. I love how, even just through brief descriptions of their time spent together, I was experiencing such a wealth of emotion relating to Nat and Jay's growing connection. Very much enjoyed the kinky undertones also, hehehe, there were LAYERS there!! Finally: shout out to voice memos, the sixth love language <3 <3 <3

OMGGGG Jonnah this was such a pleasure to read. "don't put your hands around me if you're not going to follow through" I'm still reeling from this line!! So well done, I can't wait to see more from you

short fiction normally evades me to some degree but what a fantastic exception. nat and jay feel so fully realised, and i have no doubt i could pepper jonnah with questions about them as individuals and she’d know the answer without pause. this story is gorgeous and the romantic tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ jonnah is so passionate and it shows in EVERY SINGLE LINE; i cannot wait to read and scream about everything sure to come from her in the future!!!!!

this was a delightful read and had me genuinely squealing on the train, trying to angle my phone away from the small child sitting right behind me. I'm obsessed with the quiet longing, the particular kind of soft sadness that comes from having loved and lost so many times. Admittedly, I am also very fond of the seagulls because those birds are the devil incarnate, but I digress. Somehow, this story manages to be both insanely hot and incredibly cute and I would read at least a full trilogy about these two idiots in love...so someone make that happen for me, please 👀
